What did your 18 year old self see you becoming?

A doctor. But I couldn’t put down the camera. And the rectals were a buzz kill.

What reality show would you invent?

I wouldn’t.  But I have a get-rich-quick idea a minute.  I really think the inflata-parent has legs.

What was one of the most interesting projects you worked on?

A library for an environmental NGO in India.  The dramatic beauty to be found in the intersection of such complex environmental, community, familial and global issues was intensely powerful. 

I was honored to have the project inadvertently culminate in an academia meets photography coffee table book.

What is the most important thing that you have ever lost?

Time.

If you weren’t a photographer, what would you do?

Then or now?  At this point I’d likely be a Gallerist.

What celebrity (actor, writer, musician) would you most want to have dinner with?

James Craig Annan – nobody knows him, but they should.

What are the top 2 things on your bucket list?

Bhutan and a photogravure exhibit.

How do you get your news?

Anywhere that doesn’t start with an F.  I’m a junkie trying to kick the habit.

What is your dream assignment?

It involves exotic travel, a humanistic cause, and collaboration with like-minded people.

What do you know now, you wish you’d known when you first started out?

It will all work out just fine.

What might surprise people about you?

I officially like cruises.

What were you like as a 10 year old?

Well, I think they call it ‘oppositional’.
