One of the many things we love about working with our artists is that they are always shooting their own ideas, & bringing concepts & stories to life that fuel their creativity. Sometimes these ideas require shooting in locations that aren’t within a 50 mile radius, or even in the lower 48. Sometimes, you have to go to an island.
Jonathan did just that, trading snow for sun, warm rain, and the lush, tropical feel of Maui. Below are a few images that preview a forthcoming still + motion personal project Jonathan produced with Jeep in mind.
Produced two weeks ago after wrapping a commercial project for a fitness brand, Jonathan and his crew carved out a few extra days to soak up the sights as well as shoot this project. “We always try to carve out time for test shooting, even when travel takes us to settings far less picturesque. We have the crew, gear, and an ever-growing list of ideas that inspire and fuel opportunies such as this.”
For this project Jonathan shot first camera, bringing on a second DP who flew over from the island of Oahu, with his own Movi, one of the hottest camera rigs on the market. We can’t wait to see the final cut. Until then, we will wait for spring to hit in Boston.
